Mountain Wind Vaulters
Tamea Denault is the founder, coach and mentor of the Mountain Wind Vaulters equestrian vaulting team, based in Colville, WA. Current members include:
Mountain Wind Vaulters is having a Medal Test Clinic with Susan Detol on Saturday and Sunday, April 2nd & 3rd, 2011. It will be held at Mountain House Stables in Colville WA. The clinic will be held all day Saturday, with the actual medal testing on Sunday morning. Susan Detol is an International FEI level judge with the American Vaulting Association. She was the head judge at the recent WEG vaulting competition in Lexington, KY in 2010. She is one of the main trainers in the AVA's judge's training program. Sue is also the medal test secretary and can help you out with any questions or concerns about the test on Sunday. Sue is fun, knowledgeable, and known as "the smiling judge". She will tell it like it is.
After all the tests there will be a question and answer period. For those who are not yet AVA members, we will have them do "mock" tests. All coaches must sign their own vaulters up for the medal test itself (no need to worry about the mock tests). All vaulters who are going for their test need to be AVA members.
If you need stalls overnight, please let us know. The cost will be $15/night per stall. Two of Tamea's horses, (Lady and Storm) will be available for the clinic and the tests. Please let her know to reserve stalls or if you would like horse time for your medal test. Bring your own bedding if you want bedding. Clinic costs (including judges fees on Sunday) are $60/vaulter. You must pay your medal test fees in addition and separately to the AVA when you send in your medal test form. Sign up for the clinic and testing below: IMPORTANT: to sign your vaulter up for the clinic, select "Clinic, per vaulter" on the dropdown menu below and click "Add to cart". This button will take you to the PayPal shopping cart page. Fill in the correct number of vaulters you are paying for (default is one). If that is all you need, just click "Check Out", pay for your order and you are done. If you ALSO want to sign up and pay for stall space as well, click "Continue Shopping". That will return you to this page. Select "Stall Fee, per horse, per night" from the dropdown menu below and click "Add to Cart" again. That will take you BACK to PayPal with a new total. Fill in the number of horses and nights you need stall space for (default is one) and click "update". Then verify that your order total is correct, check out and pay for your order as normal.
